Gilda's Club is named in honor of Gilda Radner. After receiving emotional and social support when she had cancer, Gilda  wanted  all people with cancer, their families and friends everywhere to receive the same treatment. Although the Saturday Night Live comedian died in 1989, Gilda's spirit lives on at every Gilda's Club. Members join with other people to learn how to live with cancer. They give and receive the benefits of love and laughter through the unique Gilda's Club program.
